Green! The Color that Matters - Covelix organizes a tree plantation drive
Tree Plantation Drive 31 July '10
It is nothing more than truth that in current time, ‘Green’ is the color that absolutely matters. With the enormous changes taking place in the environment, it has become essential for each one of us to contribute towards keeping the earth greener not just for us but for the future generations as well. As an old saying goes – ‘Treat this earth well; it was not given to you by your parents, but is loaned to you by your children!’
Covelix decided to take this message seriously and do their bit. The zealous Covelix team got together for a tree plantation event at the ARAI hills, Pune. Environment experts helped the team select indigenous saplings which are hardy, most suited for Pune’s weather conditions and thus have the highest rate of survival. The team had thrilling time as they got down with the equipments to dig the pits and plant the saplings.
Covelix understands that the responsibilities towards nature extend beyond planting the saplings. To ensure that appropriate care of the saplings is being taken till the trees become self resilient; the team has joined hands with an environmental group. This group will help nurture the saplings along with Covelix team periodically visiting the location.
The event was marked not just by the fun the team had but also by the satisfaction of contributing towards a greater cause.

Team Covelix pumped up for Pune Marathon 2006
Pune International Marathon 26 November '06
Covelix Technologies, a fast growing software company that believes in ‘Work hard, Play hard’, has registered for the Pune Marathon 2006. The entire organization is running for a single cause – Road safety in all aspects. Fatal accidents occurring on road, killing or maiming several, are a matter of great concern all over India. To ensure road safety, each of us needs to develop some self-discipline. Avoiding using cell phones while driving, wearing helmets, not jumping the red lights, avoiding drunk driving, observing lane discipline are the basic rules everyone must follow. ‘One small step from you could mean life to someone.’
After losing one of their co-workers in a road accident last month in a hit and run case, Covelix has decided to use the Pune Marathon as a platform to create awareness of poor traffic sense and road safety in the city.
The Company, which has grown from 0 to 100 in 2.5 years, believes in setting goals, which seem apparently impossible, planning towards the goals and executing to the plan to achieve the goals.
Covelix has planned a spirited intra-company competition. Multiple teams are competing against each other for prize money and even more importantly for recognition. Leads for each team actuate team members for daily scientific practice sessions. The organization is charged up and eager to run the marathon.
The organizing committee has planned the event meticulously. Teams are being trained for the marathon by means of informative articles, videos explaining details of proper diet, appropriate costume-shoes. Seasoned international marathon runners have been invited for talks and discussions. The pit crew, positioned along the entire stretch of the run, will be managing the support for the runners on D-day.
By participating in the marathon Covelix is not only abiding to its principle of ‘work hard, play hard’ but is also creating social awareness. Most importantly, it’s a great way to help raise the health awareness in the company. Healthy minds in healthy bodies!
